Art in Action. Seeking your support in the battle against COVID-19
Hi! My name is Sonali. I am a marketer and an artist. While I am based in Canada, my roots are in India.
India is probably among the most affected countries right now and whatever we may choose to do, it seems less. That does not mean that we give up. In fact, it must encourage us to do more.
Art in Action is my attempt do more.
I am starting by giving away 7 of my best creations and I invite you to acquire one of these. Simply donate directly to one of the humanitarian organizations I support (or to any one that you support), send me the receipt and I will ship the piece to you (anywhere in India).

How can you help?
Three simple steps…
1. Select a piece of art
Select from one of the pieces showcased below.
Against each piece, I have mention the time I spent on it and a short note. I have also listed an indicative price against each. If I were to seek compensation against it, I would expect that much remuneration.
2. Make a donation
You are welcome to donate at least the suggested amount. Or even more if you can!
3. Send in the confirmation
Once you have made the donation, please use the form below to email me the receipt. And I will be in touch for shipping and logistics!
Organizations I Support
I support the following organizations working towards COVID relief.
1. DFY. Donation details.
2. Hemkunt Foundation. Donation details.
3. LEHS/WISH (WISH Foundation India). Donation details.
Please make a donation directly to any of these and send me the screenshots. Thanks!

About Me
I create Black & White abstract line drawings with pen on paper, inspired by nature and moments of contemplation on the meaning of life.
In the absence of a formal art education, most of my work has been a playful exploration of various tools at my disposal (often inexpensive items like pencils, pens, old papers, waste material). After years of experimentation with various art forms, I found a special joy and peace in pen drawings. I love the simplicity of its process and the limited need for tools. I am fascinated by the inexplicable beauty of Black & White and its ability to reach the depths of our hearts and show us that from which colors often distract us. My work and style is a confluence of and influenced by the stories and art forms of ancient India; the exploration of my spirituality and the representation of my chaotic thoughts, trying to make sense of life and our world.

Why am I doing this?
At this time of distress, the easy way out would be to donate some money. But that would be constrained to my ability to give.
So this is my attempt to let my work evolve as a “helping help” and amplify the impact.
In future, I plan to invite more artists to give away their work and raise more. Should you know any other artists that are willing to give away, please connect me.
